Katonah Real Estate
Katonah is one of the three hamlets that comprise the town of Bedford. The town is named for the Native American chief who sold the land to a group of British colonists. The original site of the town is now the Cross River Reservoir, the town was moved to its present day location in 1897. Over 50 buildings were placed on logs and pulled by horses to “New Katonah.”
Katonah is home to a thriving downtown which grew up around the train station. Katonah was home to John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and is the site to not only the Katonah Museum of Art but the famed Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, which hosts a summer-long music festival as well as year-round functions.
