About Mount Kisco / Bedford Corners

Mount Kisco is a village in the town of Mount Kisco. It was settled in 1719 and home to a few farms, houses, mills, a tavern, a shop and a church. In 1847, the railroad extended its line through Westchester County and the line began to run through Mount Kisco. The introduction of the train led to growth and development in this sleepy town with the influx of commuters and commerce and the village incorporated itself in 1875.

Today, Mount Kisco has a thriving downtown area that includes a supermarket, Target, Banana Republic, Starbucks, CVS and much, much more. It is home to the area’s hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital Center and the Mount Kisco Country Club. It’s proximity to the Saw Mill River Parkway, I-684 as well as the train and bus routes make it a perfect commuting hub here in Northern Westchester.

Bedford Corners is an area in the town of Bedford. Bedford Village, Bedford Hills and Mount Kisco surround this small area. It is located close to both the Bedford Hills and Mount Kisco train stations. The area is almost all residential. The historic home, Stonecrest, is located here and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
